This blended whiskey is all American. Despite the Canadian heritage of the Seagram’s company, Seagram’s Seven isn’t actually a Canadian whiskey.
It does however taste reminiscent of its Canadian brethren: it’s both sweet and smooth while still being a little bit spicy. The nose offers up a lot of smokiness, a good amount of herbs, as well as some honey elements. Meanwhile, the taste is a lot like charred wood and apricots with just a touch of butter. Highly drinkable and easily mixable, it’s very commonly paired with 7Up for the classic 7 & 7 cocktail.
